* about

a specialized architectural film house

silica is a specialized architectural film house founded by filmmakers dustin lebarron and thomas smith. born from an obsession with raw structural geometry and atmospheric documentary cinema, silica documents high end architecture, modern retreats, and design in the wild.

from the rugged terrain of northern ontario to global design frontiers, our work focuses on the tactile, heavy reality of physical spaces: capturing the raw grain of timber, the weight of concrete, and the precise, quiet play of shadow.

silica focuses on grounded, atmospheric, and tactile perspectives, documenting architectural masterworks from a precise, human eye scale. we create uncompromising, premium short films for luxury retreats, modern architects, and artisan brands globally.
